Lue, Wiggan named first-team all-Canadians

Posted: November 22nd, 2013 @ 7:49pm

Two members of the Queen's Golden Gaels are first-team all-Canadian football players.

Defensive end Derek Wiggan and cornerback Andrew Lue were named to the national university all-star team that was announced Thursday night in Quebec City.

A three-time conference all-star who just completed his fourth season with the Gaels, Lue had twice been a second-team all-Canadian. He's a graduate of Brother Andre Catholic High School in Markham.

For Wiggan, a two-time all-conference lineman from St. Michael's College in Toronto, it was the first time named all-Canadian.

Three other Gaels, linebacker Sam Sabourin, defensive halfback Tijani Chase-Dunawa and tackle Josh Prinsen of Napanee, were selected second-team all-Canadians.
