Sydenham remains unbeaten with win at Napanee

Posted: January 14th, 2015 @ 7:52pm

Sydenham Golden Eagles remain undefeated after they posted a 75-29 victory over the Napanee Golden Hawks in the only Kingston Area Secondary Schools Athletic Association senior basketball game Wednesday.

Playing in Napanee, the Eagles improved their record to 6-0, to move within two points of the league-leading Frontenac Falcons, who are unbeaten through seven games.

The Eagles and Falcons will meet Feb. 10 in Sydenham.

On the final day of play before the two-week end-of-semester exam break, Sydenham will entertain the 1-6 Loyalist Lancers Thursday, while Frontenac will host Napanee, which is now 2-5 after losing its third game in a row.

Elsewhere, the La Salle Black Knights, 2-4, will visit the Bayridge Blazers, who at 5-2 go into the game on a five-game winning streak; while the Regiopolis Notre Dame Panthers, 4-1, will play the Holy Cross Crusaders, 3-2, in the 28th annual Memorial Game, with proceeds going to cancer research.

Game time at Holy Cross will be 8 p.m.
