Six more goals for Kyle Aylesworth

Posted: April 6th, 2013 @ 11:18pm

Kyle Aylesworth continues his fine freshman season with Ohio Valley, with six goals and two assists in the losing effort Saturday as the Fighting Scots bowed 15-13 to the Shorter Hawks in a non-conference intercollegiate field lacrosse game in Vienna, W.Va.

Aylesworth, a Frontenac Secondary School grad who plays with the Kingston Kings in the summer box season, has scored 13 times in the last two Ohio Valley games, with a hand in 16 of his team's 22 goals in those games.

The loss dropped the Fighting Scots' record to 4-7 overall. Shorter, a Baptist college from Rome, Ga., improved to 5-7. Ohio Valley, a Division 2 school in the ECAC, will try for its first win in conference play Wednesday against Alderson-Broaddus in Phillipi, W. Va.
