Holy Cross whips Bayridge in high school hockey

Posted: January 8th, 2014 @ 12:07am

Bayridge Blazers goaltender Dylan Jones delivered a valiant effort Tuesday but it wasn't enough for his team to avoid an 8-2 Kingston Area Secondary Schools Athletic Association defeat at the hands of the Holy Cross Crusaders.

Playing at the Invista Centre, Holy Cross was led by the line of Jake St. Peter, who scored three goals, Matt Marino, who scored twice, and Zach Skolnick, who scored once. Other Holy Cross goals were scored Hunter Drew, Josh Kurish and Brandon Nadeau.

Bayridge goal scorers were Derek Boudreault and H. Hayden. Holy Cross goalie Quin Cota got the win.
