St. Lawrence women clinch first place with 10th straight win

St. Lawrence Vikings clinched first place in the East division Saturday with a 72-54 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association women’s basketball victory over the visiting Centennial Colts.

The win, the 10th in a row for St. Lawrence, gave the Vikings a 15-1 record. They haven’t lost since Nov. 21.

Lacey Knox scored 14 points and Hannah Koposhynska added 12 to the attack for St. Lawrence, which led 34-26 at halftime. Abby Heron pulled down nine rebounds.

Tamara Jones-Francis scored 13 points for Centennial, which finished third at 11-5.
