Posted: March 15th, 2015 @ 4:44pm

Three members of the county and EOSSA champion Sydenham Golden Eagles have been named to the East team for the annual Kingston Area Secondary Schools Athletic Association boys basketball all-star game, March 26 at Holy Cross.

Tom Withey, Ben Lusk and Steve Kennedy will represent the Eagles, who last week won the consolation title at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations AA tournament in Ottawa.

Sayre Powers of Kingston Collegiate and Duncan Lambert of Regiopolis Notre Dame were also named to the East team, comprising players from those three schools, Queen Elizabeth, La Salle and Granite Ridge.

The West team includes two members each from the Frontenac Falcons and Bayridge Blazers—Tristan Halladay and Carter Matheson of the Falcons and Austin Macklem and Matt Brash of the Blazers. Jeremy Pendergast of Holy Cross completes the team, drawn from players from those three schools, Napanee and Loyalist.

Named to the respective second all-star teams are Napanee’s Chad Thompson; Davis Maschi and Braydon Norris of Holy Cross, and Taylor Pettingill and Kaelan Ingersoll of Loyalist in the West, and QE’s Braydon Cordeiro, Regi’s Eli Deluzio, La Salle’s Jordan Price, Isaac Foley of KC and Kyle Kinkley-Dale of Granite Ridge in the East.

Game time on the 26th will be 5:30 p.m.
